Rules
General Rules
• Language: keep any bad language and descriptions of gore to a minimum. Proboards has a 13+ age limit, meaning all posts must be suitable for thirteen year olds.
• God modelling: this is where you manipulate another role player’s character, or make your own too powerful. If you think another role player is god modelling, contact one of the admins and they’ll sort it out.
• Etiquette: Be kind to other role players. Even if your characters don’t like each other, there’s no need to be rude to the person role playing the other character.
• Plagiarism: This is not allowed. We will check over applications to see if they are copied from places like wikipedia and if we do find any signs of plagiarism, then you will have to edit that out and fill it in with your own words. Also, do not take work from other RPers and claim it as your own. Even if it is from another site. We don't want any complications.
• Activity: We ask you to log on with at least one, if not all of your accounts each day if possible. It allows us to know that you are still interested and active.
• Absences: If you are going to be absent for any length of time, please post a comment on the absence board to let the admins know.
Character Applications
• Characters Point 1: We don't want any Mary-Sues or Gary-Stus. No one can be perfect and their flaws don't add to their perfection. Likewise, we don't want any Sherlock Holmes, Aragorn, Odysseus and the likes. Keep to characters that you can apply for.
• Characters Point 2: For benders, we ask that we specify which techniques that your characters are currently able to use in their application. If you wish for your character to learn extra techniques, please contact an admin and inform them of your decision.
• Applying: To apply please fill out an application. If you are not finished, post it up as a Work In Progress (W.I.P.). When complete, please mark it as such.
• OCs and Canons: There are no canon characters but there are positions to be filled and prepared characters for anyone to apply for. All benders are permitted as well as non-benders. The Avatar is not permitted but will be considered to be given to a member who's character and RPing fits.
• When to start posting: Please don’t start writing in character posts until your application has been approved by one of the admins. We will get back to you as soon as we can, so be patient.
• Applying for another character: Before applying to role play another character, you need to have made at least 10 in character posts with your latest character. All accounts must be kept active.
Posting Rules
• Posting Rules: posts should be in third person, past tense,;and have good spelling and grammar. There are spell checkers online or on Microsoft word that should help with any spelling difficulties.
• Word Count: Here on Saviour we have a posting count of at least 100 words. Please try and make replies a reasonable length. We’re not looking for a novel, but it is polite to other role players to give something to respond to. A good two to three paragraphs is a good guide for this.
• A Good Reply: Try and make sure you give the person/people you are threading with enough to reply to. Don't have everything that your character is thinking and no spoken words of actions. It gets really difficult for the other Role Player if they have nothing to respond to. On average a post should have at least three full interactions between that the other character can respond to. Whether this is talking or actions. We understand that some posts may involve little interaction (such as a pairing up to go against some opponents) but if you are struggling to get enough for the other to respond to, feel free to come to us and we will help you.
